Owens Corning Black Acoustic Blanket is a 1" thick black fiberglass blanket coated on one side with a durable black facing which creates a neat, finished appearance. Black Acoustic Blanket is manufactured from inorganic glass fibers and is excellent for eliminating light reflections, while providing outstanding acoustical performance. This sound insulation blanket is great for sound absorption and thermal insulation on lining the interior of HVAC ductwork and vents. The black facing contains fiberglass fibers from entering the air stream on ductwork and other air ventilation builds such as baffle boxes and plenums etc.

Owens Corning Black Acoustic Blanket (1")
Had a hard time sourcing rigid fiberglass duct liner for a site built HVAC duct silencer. I tried this and it works just as well but costs less and less shipping costs too. It's great!

Owens Corning black acoustic Blanket
This product was great and help reduce my noise level from my intake duct to 10-20% of the original noise. I did this by also placing two baffles that were also covered with the blanket material. Material was easy to cut with scissors and the hard back easy to outline using a silver magic marker. Thanks so much for the product. Sorry to say I lived with the high noise for years. My wife and I have now been able to turn a chapter in a distraction free home. An inexpensive fix for the great benefit we are now receiving.

Baffle Box Insulation
The blanket is of nice quality and the black webbing contains the fiberglass and keeps it from escaping. I used this blanket to line my air supply baffle boxes for my HVAC ducts into my soundproof studio. I made the box out of plywood and 1" 703 fiberglass and then used this black blanket to cover all of the 703.
