Owens Corning 703 Fiberglass Acoustic Board 1" (3#)

Despite the 1 inch, it came in an amazing condition! Great packaging, shipping, and product!

This is my 2nd time buying these panels and they work great for acoustic panels for my home theater room. I cut these to shape very easliy on my table saw, and fit perfect into the wood frames I built and wrapped with two layers of speaker grille cloth. Highly suggested and work great to dampen the sound and reflections.

I'm using OC 703 behind our "new" Frigidaire 16 cu ft upright freezer, which has an extremely noisy compressor motor.
It's the 21st century and you'd think that an American corporation like Frigidaire could make a compressor quieter than this one is.
But OC 703 to the rescue!
The freezer is located in a room adjacent to a bedroom, and despite having the 2X6 studded walls packed with normal fiberglass insulation, the compressor noise is conducted through the wall and into the bedroom.
So, I panelled the wall behind the freezer with OC 703, from floor to ceiling, and the noise level has been dramatically reduced.
Great solution to a perplexing problem.

The other application is to line speaker enclosures in our Home Theater room to deaden reflected sound.
Works like a charm.

During my 30 years of building all of the Post Production facilities for NBC Universal Studios I have always relied on Owens Corning 703. The OC 703 products that I purchased from “Buy Insulation Products Store” was priced fairly and delivered promptly.

Online ordering is very easy and every time I place an order the material ships right away.

I had an almost 4' x 8' opening in the wall in the "office' upstairs that looks down on the living room. While this is great for the view, it is miserable for peace and quiet. I used the OC 703 to build a 3" thick panel to fill the opening. I layering the singe 1" sheets together with the middle layer rotated 90 degrees and staggered with respect to the outer two with some spray adhesive. The result was FAR better than imagined it could be. No more ambient noise coming through, no more light coming through, etc This is just rigid enough to hold its form, but workable enough to be able to easily cut it with a sharp kitchen knife. I would highly recommend OC 703 for acoustic insulation projects.
