MetroFlex Resilient Isolation Clips with 4" Extension have a 4" leg which allows the clip to be fastened to the side of a ceiling joist to allow leveling of the hat channel on the ceiling. The RIC-4EXT clips is a hybrid of the standard MetroFlex Resilient Isolation Clip with a 4" leg extension. The RIC-4EXT can also easily be converted into the MetroFlex RIC-LP which is a Low Profile Clip.
RIC-LP Low Profile Conversion: The RIC-4EXT can easily be converted into the RIC-LP Low Profile Clip by undoing the bolt and repositioning the clip to the other end of the leg. *Requires wrench/plier.
