Green Glue Acoustical Sealant Caulk
Brand : Green Glue
- Unit of Measure:
- Per Tube (28oz)
Green Glue Acoustical Sealant is an acoustic grade caulk that is used to seal joints and cracks in soundproof wall, ceiling, and floor systems. One of the most common reasons for noise issues in walls and ceilings is sound flanking through cracks and small crevices. These tiny air gaps allow sound to freely transmit from one side of the structure to the other. These air gaps are most commonly found around electrical outlets, light switches, and wall perimeters (bottom of wall behind trim molding).
Green Glue Noiseproofing Acoustical Sealant is easily dispensed through a quart sized caulking gun and provides approximately 40-50 linear feet per tube (at a 3/8" bead). Green Glue Sealant was previously known as SilenSeal Sealant.
Coverage: Approx 40-50 linear feet (3/8" bead)
Cure Time: 48 hours
Tube Size: 28 oz /tube
Seals in Minutes:
It takes just minutes to apply Green Glue Acoustical Sealant along edges and cracks. It dries completely in 48 hours.
No training is necessary to use Green Glue Noiseproofing Sealant—it is applied in the same fashion as standard caulking material. The acoustical caulk soundproofing sealant comes in 28-ounce tubes that fit into quart-sized calking guns. Clean up is simple with just soap and water, even when wet. It can be painted over once dry.
Effective Solution: Adding Green Glue Acoustical Sealant to your soundproofing project can reduce noise transmission by 100 times or more. Green Glue Noiseproofing Sealant exceeds LEED green building requirements and has been independently tested by Underwriters Laboratories for fire safety and environmental impact.
NOTE: This product is for Acoustical Caulk and not the Noiseproofing Compound

Great product and amazing fast service from these guys! Would definitely order again.
We're in the process of building a recording studio. We use this product to seal cracks and spaces between drywall parts. The large container is cumbersome and harder to manage, especially in odd shaped work spaces. The nozzle is huge and makes it difficult to apply the material into smaller cracks and openings. I can't comment about the effectiveness of the product in comparison with other caulking products, simply because we are not set to conduct scientific tests.
