#8 x 1/2" Galvanized Drill Screws with hex/slotted heads (aka aluminum zip screws, zippies, z-screws). These screws are used instead of banding for the closure system of aluminum and stainless steel pipe jacketing. Insert one 1/2" drill screw on the linear overlap at least every 6" of aluminum pipe jacketing. Also use at least one aluminum zip screw at each 3ft joint section (remember to leave at least one expansion joint that should not be fastened). On sealed systems, screw heads should be caulked with aluminum colored silicone caulk. For use with flat head bit or 1/4" hex driver.
NOTE: An expansion joint is an overlap of aluminum jacketing that is not fastened to allow the pipe jacketing to flex and expand and contract with varying temperatures.

I ordered these TWICE and BOTH TIMES the were shipped in PLASTIC CONTAINERS that was DESTROYED in SHIPMENT and had to DIG out of box and GET DIFFERENT CONTAINERS to put IN.
