The 8lb density 2" insulation board is a non-combustible, rigid mineral wool insulation board that is water repellent and designed for high temperature applications where durability and compressive resistance are required. Common application areas for this mineral fiber board insulation include storage tank insulations, drying/oven equipment, petro-chemical and power generating equipment protection where high temperature, fire resistance, and moisture resistance are concerns.

Purchased 2" mineral wool insulation with foil backing to install in two of my industrial ovens. I wanted to help the comfort of my employees and to try to get metal dried off after washing it. I can't believe how much this helped. It brought the room temperature down by 27 degrees, and raised the temperature in my ovens Immensely. I was told by one dealer they would not recommend using this. I contacted a local insulation company and showed them what I wanted to do, and they said it would definitely work. It did, and is Amazing.
This is a great quality product, it is easy to work with and does a great job. I insulted my boiler with it and it made a world of difference
