The Purple duct board tool is a handheld device that is used to carve out a Male Shiplap cut in fiberglass duct board. The Purple Duct Board Tool is used to make a male shiplap or reverse shiplap end cut.
The Purple kerfing tool can only be ordered for 1" thick Fiberglass Duct Board. Please refer to the Yellow Tool for 1-1/2" and 2" thick fiberglass duct board options.
The difference between the 1" Purple and the 1" Yellow tools is the width of the male shiplap cut. The Purple Shiplap Tool cuts a narrower 7/8" wide cut while the Yellow Tool at 1" thickness cuts a 1-1/4" wide cut.
