3M 8511 general purpose disposable N95 respirators have a built-in exhalation valve and are used where there is high risk of exposure to airborne particles. 3M 8511 N95 respirators filter at least 95% of airborne particles. They are not oil-resistant. The dust masks with built-in exhalation valves automatically opens when the wearer breaths out to allow breath to exit the mask quickly, keeping the wearer cooler and more comfortable. The valve on this 3M particulate respirator 8511 closes automatically when the wearer inhales to ensure all air breathed in is filtered.
