2" Owens Corning 705 Fiberglass Acoustical Board Heavy Density is unfaced fiberglass rigid board. This semi rigid fiberglass insulation is sold in boxes of 6 sheets. Each sheet is 2ft x 4ft. Each bundle contains a total of 48 square feet.
For most acoustical applications, such as sound studios, control rooms, apartments, a 2" thickness is the best solution. The value in a 2" thick fiberglass panel is the lower cost per inch, and better acoustical performance.
*Owens Corning 705 Fiberglass Acoustic Board Heavy Density is a 6 lb per cubic foot product (705 board) while our regular 703 Fiberglass Acoustic Board is a 3lb per cubic foot product (703). Unlike 703 board, Heavy Density Acoustic Board is a rigid enough product for frame-less fabric wrapped Acoustic Panels.

Great stuff and a great step up from 703
I used 703 for my bass trap soffits in my live rooms but used mostly 705 in my control room . Great Stuff !

Exactly the same material used in all the expensive room treatment kits but at a fraction of the cost. I covered 12 24x48 panels in 20 yards of cotton muslin and 3 cans of spray glue for under $75 bucks. That brought my entire room treatment cost to less than a third of the name brand room treatment kits for the same amount of panels. I am very happy with the 705 fiberglass panels for absorption.
