General purpose super duty material (monolythic refractory) designed as an economical castable refractory concrete for furnaces and flue system applications in incinerators, HPI heaters, combustion chambers, power plant ash hoppers, mineral processing, reheat furnaces and molten metal units. Moldit D Castable Furnace Cement Refractory can handle a Service Temperature of 2500°F (1371°C).

Mixing Water Ratio:
3-1/2 to 4 Liters (3.7 to 4.2 quarts) per 55 pound bag
*Use cold clean water between temps of 40°F - 85°F. Start with the minimum percentage of water and wet mix for two to three minutes. If the material appears too dry or does not flow properly, add one half of the remaining water and mix for an additional minute. Total mixing time should not exceed four minutes.
Best results are obtained when installers use just enough water to allow the castable to flow.

Easy to poor
This stuff was great to work with and easy to poor into my mold. I used it to make a forge that so far is working great. The only problem I ran into was the shipping boxes where falling apart when they arrived. It was so bad that Fedex re-boxed package number 2 after putting the bag of refractory cement in another bag and for the cost of shipping made me weigh the bags to see if there was any loss. But they all weighed out at 55 lbs. So all good aside from the boxes they were shiped in. And as far as the heat goes Ive had my forge pushing 2425 degrees f.

Good quality
There wasnt enough to finish the forge. The main body is done but the lid with chimney is not. Didnt have enough to even start on it. Shipping cost was high.
